I have not been keeping up with this for a few reasons. First I have a full time job plus a part time job. Secondly, because of work and not being in school I find I am just not online very often and so I don’t get on to create the texts. Thirdly, I want to rethink the way I am doing devotional texts and I haven’t developed a plan yet, whether it means few texts or a different way of doing it so until I figure it out I am taking a hiatus. Keep digging in to God’s word though despite the hiatus.

If we live with a “whats in it for me” attitude then where do our interests lie? Should we, like children, always seek a reward?

18 “I tell you the truth, the things you don’t allow on earth will be the things God does not allow. And the things you allow on earth will be the things that God allows.

19 “Also, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about something and pray for it, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. 20 This is true because if two or three people come together in my name, I am there with them.”

Before the Jews went to the temple priest forgiveness from sin with sacrifices. Who is given the power here?

24 Then Jesus said to his followers, “If people want to follow me, they must give up the things they want. They must be willing even to give up their lives to follow me.

25 Those who want to save their lives will give up true life, and those who give up their lives for me will have true life.

Where are the things we want found before we follow Jesus? Are they in line with God’s will of ours?

2 Jesus called a little child to him and stood the child before his followers.

3 Then he said, “I tell you the truth, you must change and become like little children. Otherwise, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

When a small child is thrown they trust they will be caught, so they take risks that adults don’t. Do you express God’s security by taking risks?

36 And I tell you that on the Judgment Day people will be responsible for every careless thing they have said.

If someone makes you angry and you react in anger are you justified or equally careless? Would you feel better afterwards?

We need to show an effort b4 God gives. But what is required is simple and what we receive is beyond our imaginations.
